How to plan a bachelorette weekend in Nashville (and have a good time doing it)
At the moment, Nashville is the seemingly self dubbed bachelorette capital. This spring was my second time visiting for a bachelorette weekend in Nashville. And I must say, the weather and crowds were perfect. It was mild enough to enjoy yourself during the day and at night but the place didn’t feel overcrowded or dead. Perfect in between. Read on for where we stayed, what we ate, and what we did for the weekend. Enjoy!
Where to stay:
- Airbnb: Most people opt for Airbnbs and there is definitely a reason why! They can accommodate your whole crew, no matter the size, and you can pick exactly where you want to be and within your budget. Here are a few top Airbnb choices to pick from, including the place we chose!
- Hotel: Perhaps you have a smaller crew, prefer the traditional perks of a hotel, or you just want to be in the center of the action. Nashville has some great options from old world charm to upscale luxury.
- Graduate Nashville: Get the ultimate experience at this funky spot in Midtown. Be on site for the coveted White Limozeen and Governor’s Pool. Be sure to make reservations far in advance!
- 21c Museum Hotel Nashville
- Fairlane Hotel
How to get around:
- Walk: Walking will be your best friend if you plan to hit Broadway at night. Pro tip: the lines for rideshare pick ups onto the main strip of Broadway can be gridlocked for many blocks. Plan ahead and either walk home with your crew, or walk away from Broadway and have your ride pick you up another location
- Uber/Lyft: There’s no shortage of rideshare availability here! Plus, Nashville is comparatively small to other cities, so it doesn’t take long (or cost very much!) to get where you’re going.
- Pedicab or Rickshaw: A possible solution to Broadway traffic woes at night. Hop on one of those and your peddler will have you out of there in no time. Some cons include not being able to travel a far distance and only being able to accommodate a few people, but hey, it is definitely helpful in a pinch!
- Rent a car: If you are exploring the surrounding area of Nashville then this is a great option. If you are a first timer visiting for the weekend, probably not necessary.
- Of course there are scooters and other modes of self transport, but I wouldn’t recommend those methods when drinking, especially in an unfamiliar city. Plus, all that walking keeps you feeling good after yummy food and cocktails!
Where to eat:
- Barcelona Wine Bar: flirty and fun wine bar serving tapas.
- Adele’s: Cool and contemporary Italian food with a warehouse style building.
- MOTO: My favorite meal of the trip! The ambiance and food was impeccable and it was the perfect reprieve from the typical bachelorette weekend stops.
- Milk & Honey: The brunch spot of all brunch spots in Nashville, prepare to wait for HOURS in line if you and your crew want to grab a coveted table. Or if you are up for a different vibe, use their grab and go feature to enjoy some coffee and a pastry. After that, Do some people watching by sitting on the steps outside of the building or sip away while you walk through the shops at The Gulch.
- Hampton Social: Adorable nautical themed brunch spot with lots of photo ops and a delicious menu with offerings for everyone. Plus, they take reservations and can accommodate your whole crew.
- Biscuit Love
Pre or post dinner cocktails:
- LA Jackson: Come for the view and stay for the drinks. There’s no bad time to visit, as the rooftop bar overlooks the city.
- Ainsworth
- Rare Bird
- Zeppelin’s
What to do:
- Spa at The Joseph
- Shopping at The Gulch
- Shopping at Hillsboro Village
- Broadway bars (Duh!)
- Grand Ole Opry
- Music Row
- Pinewood Social
Itinerary:
Day 1: Fly into town
Day 2: Brunch, spa, sightseeing, cocktails and dinner, night 1 on Broadway
Day 3: Brunch, shopping, cocktails and dinner, night 2 on Broadway
Day 4: Fly home – or say goodbye to the crew and spend another day sightseeing!
Whether you’ve never been to Nashville before, or you are a frequent visitor, there are always new things to experience in town. I hope these recommendations for a bachelorette weekend in Nashville help you decide how you will spend your precious time with all that Music City has to offer! Enjoy!
Stay tuned for another bachelorette weekend guide – this time in Palm Springs!
